Final Fantasy VI - Day 19 (In which there is tentacle rape)

And we're back. When we last left off, we had just left Thamasa, and I have a lot of magic to teach the MAGE. Fucker. I wish I remembered how to teach him blue magic... I think I have to have him get hit with stuff... I dunno. Anyway, it's back on the world map, and into the flail! Well as it turns out, there's a cave I didn't notice before, so I'm going to plumb its depths... Which considering that the cave entrances look like labia, is a lot creepier than I really intended. First thing that's up is a palette swap of the horrible sneeze lizard horses... they don't look any better in purple and green than they did in green and gold... gold and green... I SHALL CALL THEM KARMA CHAMELEONS!!!!

I feel old for making that reference...

Romancing Saga 2: Making a Molehill out of an Anthill

As I'm wandering trying to find more instruments, a Cobra Commander drops another copy of Jubei's robe. I'm gonna try it on Ferdinand and see if it makes him anywhere near as hard to kill. If so, I may stock up on LP potion- CCs are STILL dicks after all this time -and try to farm the things.

I lose and replenish a few LP as I go; I'm leaving Bruiser and Ferdinand at 3 LP each right now because I am good and sick of running back and forth to the old woman's cave. To the best of my ability to determine, the robe does provide a certain amount of defense against status conditions, but the evade rate is pure Jubei. If I get the chance to make one of his offspring my next King, I'm jumping at it.

And now they're back at the southern camp, for some reason or other. I have no idea what any of this accomplishes. But I'm going to take a few minutes here and do as I suggested last week, and run back and forth to get everybody's LP back up to probably around 4. Ferdinand is just way too fragile right now, and I'd like him to live to the end of his era.

Romancing Saga 2: Mu-sic to my Ears

I went back to Saigo to rest up, and the guy there minding the garden sells me something at 1000 Crowns a pop. His sales pitch is pretty long, and seems to mention Toba. So that's my next stop, and I figure it's a good time to be trying that X in the middle of the ocean too, since it's off the coast of Toba. Nothing happens there, though, so I go back to Saigo...

 

...and finally notice the new cave off to the side. It seems to mention young Mus.

Romancing Saga 2: Does my Giant Come with Biscotti?

Hmm. Heavily built-up area, Gargoyles, creepy music. This ought to be good. I see a couple stationary dragons to contend with, a few shattered statues, and rooms with treasure.

...the statues in the room all become skeletons and jump me when I open the chest. How could they know that I, an adventurer, would have greed as a weakness?

So when we last left off, Celes was being a crazy bitch, and then we were heading out for our date with destiny... or maybe her annoying sister irony. In any case...
